A yet-to-be identified man was reportedly shot in the head and left in the pool of his blood on Christmas Eve, near Polokor Market in Warri, Delta state.
While some sources claimed that he may have been a member of an armed robbery gang, others said he was a victim of the hoodlums attack.
Details surrounding his death were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
According to a quarter, the man died as a result of an accidental discharge from a fellow gang member’s gun.
The Nation gathered from a police source that the corpse which has since been deposited at a morgue has still not been identified.
The source added that a locally made pistol was found beside the body when it was evacuated by a police patrol team that night.
When contacted, the Delta state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya, said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area was yet to return calls placed to him regarding the matter.
