Oyo LG Crisis: Group Urges Makinde, ALGON to Embrace Peace Through Dialogue

The Progressive Oyo Connect, P.O.C on Sunday wrote to plead with the Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the need to resolve all conflict with the elected local government Chairmen and also call for peace and tranquility in the state.

According to a press statement made available for Double A Exclusive Media, they advised the Governor of the state to always be conscious that he is not a partisan PDP governor.

According to the press statement released by the Publicity Secretary to the body, Mr. Inaolaji Akinloye, “POC, Progressive Oyo Connect call for peace and tranquility.

“The Progressive Oyo Connect wish to use this medium to appeal to our state governor and democratically elected local government chairmen and councillors in Oyo state to consider Oyo state interest first by adopting a dialogue in resolving the local government brouhaha instead of WAR-WAR approach because when two elephants fight the grass suffers.

“We want to advise our darling governor Seyi Makinde to always see himself as Oyo state governor not as a partisan PDP governor.

“The tenure of the constitutionally elected local government chairmen and councillors will lapse in less than 18months.

“In lieu of this, we want to appeal to our governor to work hand in hand with elected council chairmen (ALGON). All we are preaching is peace and harmony.”
