The immediate past Oyo state commissioner for finance, budget and planning, Bimbo Adekanbi, today in an interview on Splash FM current affairs programme “Gbangba-Lasaata” anchored by Abiodun Adewole, monitored by Double A Exclusive Media, reacted to the allegations made by Gov. Seyi Makinde against Sen. Abiola Ajimobi’s administration.
Double A Media recalls a statement according to Gov. Makinde that the immediate government led by Sen. Abiola Ajimobi spent #5.2 Billion within 3weeks of baton exchange in Oyo state.
According to Gov. Seyi Makinde, “the immediate government owns over 60 bank accounts. Oyo state received #5.2 billion on May 6 and by May 29 of inauguration Oyo was left with #19,000 only.”
Bimbo Adekanbi, in his reaction, asserted the government to have given a fake news, thus, such cannot be possible. He therefore challenged Gov. Makinde to bring out his facts, perhaps the statement of account that reveals how the money was spent and where it was channeled to.
However, Bimbo stated that, Oyo received allocation of #4. something billion in the month of May excluding IGR that comes in frequently.
“There was no mismanagement of fund in Governor Ajimobi’s led Administration, we have every bit of spending on record and we are not scared to defend any monetary issue any where…we are ready even for EFCC. Proper documentation was made and it will serve as witness for us.” He said.
Moreover, Adekambi claimed that the new government received Paris money worth of #7.9 Billion.
